When using Eventogra.ph and Eventograph.com you agree to the following:
1. Terms
1.1 Your responsibilities
When you create/host an Eventogra.ph, you become the responsible owner. This means we expect you to:
- Use our service as intended. As a temporary dropzone in which you and your peers can privately share photos and videos, both in personal and/or professional use.
- Only share your private link with people you trust with photos and video files. Keep in mind anybody with the link will also be able to delete files.
- Never share the public link online and with strangers you don’t know.
- Never upload files that would be considered ‘abuse’ of our service as it will result in a ban and instant-deletion of your Eventograph.
- We expect you to download and save your files before the expiration date of the Eventograph. After this point your files are saved in backup for 30 days. You can still:
- Download the backup for a small one-time fee.
- Fully restore & extend the duration of the Eventograph, including all files, for another 15 days for a small one-time fee.
- Do nothing and let the Eventograph and its backup completely self-destruct with no recovery.
- We expect that you and your peers are the creators or at least own copyright on all photos & video shared. We will never claim ownership or train AI with your images.
- If you or the peers with whom you’ve shared an Eventograph delete files, they can never be recovered. There is no real-time backup. This is by design (see: #2 Privacy)
1.2 Abuse
We have a zero tolerance against the sharing of unlawful and/or unethical imagery. When our systems detects items like piracy, pornography or any kind of illegal behavior… the Eventograph will be deleted immediately. Any involved IP address will be banned forever. If criminal behavior is detected, information will be shared with the authorities if deemed necessary.
1.3 Our responsibilities
We do our best to keep the service running 24/7, privately and securely. However, we can not be held accountable for minor issues or even loss of files due to a hack or or faulty configuration. Luckily we keep minimal (for pro users) to no personal data, and old eventographs get deleted automatically. So we can’t leak what we don’t have.
We are not and never claim to be a long-term storage provider. So never store files in Eventograph of which you have no backup yourself.
1.4 Refunds & cancellation
1.4.1 Small one-off payments
Our basic service is free and most purchases are one-time small fees and of very temporary nature. Therefore, on these payments, we will never offer refunds. If something shouldn’t work as expected/advertised, feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to fix it.
These small upgrades for your private Eventograph are valid for all its users/visitors. Everyone benefits from you unlocking the backup, extending time and/or increasing storage…)
1.4.2 Monthly subscriptions
We provide a monthly and a yearly paid Eventograph ‘PRO‘ subscription. These can be canceled at any time, while remaining full functionality for the rest of the billed period. They will auto-renew unless you cancel them in time.
If you’ve accidentally renewed your yearly subscription and don’t actively use your account – Just reach out and we’ll see what we can do for a refund for the remaining period. We always prefer a happy (ex-)customer.
Due to the low price of the monthly subscription, we will not offer refunds here.
2. Privacy & GDPR
From the ground up Eventograph is designed with privacy in mind. If you’ve used Eventogra.ph, you’ve experienced the zero-personal-data approach first-hand – For standard use:
- We use no log-ins and no e-mails
- no personal data is collected by design
- Your content fully automatically self-destructs after a certain amount of time.
- We do not take real-time back-ups of your files. Deleting a file is always permanent.
- We only take a backup of files when an eventograph has expired. Giving returning visitors 30 days to restore it or extend the eventograph again for a small fee.
For PRO users, we are legally obliged to collect your email address to link your payment. We deliberately avoid using 3rd party sign in systems like Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Google Sign. But we do entrust you to create and use a secure password of your own. A 2-factor authentication method is planned, but not yet available at this time.
As a company founded in Belgium, Europe, we are not only forced but also proud to announce that privacy and the protection of your data and media is, and always will be, of our greatest concern. It’s actually one of our USP’s. Long story short: we keep virtually no personal data. So even if our systems get breached, there won’t be much to collect.
2.1 Cookie policy
No commercial cookies are collected. Just 2 100% functional cookies exists,
- to save the fact that the person using an Eventograph has agreed to these terms and conditions.
- for pro-users to store their session and keep them signed in.
2.2 Hosting
The server (e.g. the database) of Eventograph is hosted at Hostinger, in Frankfurt Germany, and object storage (your photo and video uploads) is done in Amsterdam. Within the EU. Both Eventograph and our providers need to comply as much as possible with the strict GDPR and NIS(2) regulations that come with it.
Through Hostinger, complete offsite server snapshot-backups are hosted in Lithuania, just in case of calamities. We hope to never have to use these.
When our reach expands we will have to rely on object storage, we have not yet selected a partner for this yet. This will only concern the uploads, never our database, so any personal data or IP addresses will never be able to be linked.
2.3 Our promise concerning your personal data and files
- Eventograph will never share your data and files with other companies.
- Eventograph will never train AI-models with your files.
- Eventograph enforces maximum security practices to prevent unauthorized access.
- Eventograph does not keep your files or data after your Eventogra.ph has fully expired and its backup has been deleted after 30 days. You are always in control.
- We will never claim ownership or copyright on your photos or videos.
- Monthly/Yearly subscribed Pro userdata and files will be permanently deleted after their subscription ends. However we do need to legally keep an archive of all our orders, which can still contain your email address. Rest assured this will be stored extremely secure and when we are legally allowed to delete said data, we will.
Even though most of our services are free, we have low expenses and a proper business model in place to finance our services.
Unlike with many other ‘free’ services, you can rest assured we will not hoard and/or sell any of your data.
