We all know an Eventograph is perfect for events and gatherings where everyone drops their photos into one album. A birthday, a family reunion or a festival weekend with friends. You share a link or a QR code and everyone uploads in full quality… Nobody needs an app or an account.
But there is a lot more you can do with a simple, private album that appears in seconds. Here are twelve clever, unexpected ways you can use Eventograph:
1. Turn the office into a living photo wall
Add some fun to the workplace. Just create an album for the team, let colleagues drop in the best moments from around the building and out on the job. Put it on a screen with the Live Photo Wall functionality.
It is a beautiful, self-updating slideshow on the big screen. So a shot from the coffee corner or a site visit shows up in near real time. HR teams love it for culture and all anyone has to do is scan the QR on the screen to add a photo to the album.
2. A safety net when you travel solo
Travelling alone? Keep a new album running and share the link with someone back home. Drop in photos and videos as you go and people who care about you can see where you have been and that you are okay.
It is a gentle reassurance. If something ever went wrong, your loved ones would have a recent trail of where you were and who you were with, without you having to remember to message everyone.
3. A day-by-day backup of your holiday photos
Phones get lost and stolen in big cities all the time. Make it a habit to create a fresh album each evening at the hotel and upload the day’s photos. It is quickest from the app.
Share the link with your travel companion(s) or mail it to yourself for safekeeping. If you travel together, a separate album per day is lovely at the end of the trip, because you can download a tidy gallery for each day instead of one giant jumble.
4. An emergency copy of your ID and documents
Before a longer trip, create a new album and upload a scan of your identity card, passport, plane tickets or other important documents.
Here is the clever part: Do not write down the full link, just the album’s unique code. Tuck it somewhere discreet on a few locations. If you get robbed and lose your phone & wallet, nobody can reach the album, but you still can from any device, anywhere in the world, with no login required!
Example: eventogra.ph/5oFNnxnF just becomes 5oFNnxnF … no-one will know it’s from this service. But be careful to not mistake O,o and 0 (zero) since the code is case-sensitive.
Keep in mind, most services, like Google drive or Onedrive will ask for a 2-factor-authentication when you need to sign in from some random device (especially when you’re abroad)… which of course still requires your phone(!) It’s also never recommended to sign in on important accounts on other people’s PC’s!
In an emergency this backup album can mean a great deal. For vulnerable people, like OFW’s or solo travellers it is a quiet extra insurance if a phone and/or passport is taken and you have no access to a computer of your own.
Last but not least – after 15 days the (free) album self-destructs, so your sensitive data won’t linger on the internet forever.
5. Move files between devices without a cable
No cable to hand and need to transfer screenshots, photos or videos between phones or PC’s or Macs? Upload a few photos or video files from one device and open the same link on the other to download them.
It is the easiest and fastest way to move files between a phone and a laptop, or between two phones. Nothing to install and no more emailing things to yourself.
6. An eye-catcher at trade shows and fairs
A big screen showing a live, updating slideshow pulls people in. Put the Live Photo Wall on your stand and you’ll see, it invites visitors to add a photo by scanning your QR code and watch their shots appear on screen moments later. It turns passers-by into participants with a fun conversation starter… which is exactly the kind of interaction you want on a busy show floor.

7. Show a photographer’s previews first, then open downloads (PRO)
Photographers can use their PRO account as a neat two-step delivery. Share your gallery with downloads switched off, so the client can look but not save. You could also allow them to delete photos they don’t like/need. Then flip downloads on after they have paid for the (remaining) selection.
It is a simple, professional way to show your work first and hand over the full-resolution files second. This one uses the access controls in PRO.
8. A genuine offsite backup of your key albums (PRO)
A PRO licence, ideally a lifetime one, makes a handy offsite backup of your most important galleries. Because it lives somewhere other than your home, it is there if the worst happens.
If your house and your NAS both go up in smoke, your key albums are still safe elsewhere. You never know… and offsite is the whole point of a backup. It’s 50GB, pay once and forget about it!
9. A permanent printed QR code using your own domain
Have your own website? Set up a link like yourdomain.com/qr and point it at a new or current Eventograph album as a redirect. Now you can print, emboss, 3D Print… one high-quality QR code, as venue owner you could hang it in your main room(s), your café or classroom and simply update the redirect whenever you start a fresh album.
The printed code never changes and never expires, while the album behind it can be brand new whenever you like.
10. Skip the phone-swap with strangers
“Hey! Can you take our photo please?” Normally that means lending a stranger your phone or handling theirs. Instead, create an album on the spot and show them the QR code. They take the photo and drop it straight into your album by tapping the upload zone and selecting camera.
No phone-swapping and no exchanging of numbers is required. It even works when someone shot you on a proper DSLR. They can just photograph your QR code and upload the pictures later.
11. Deliver video versions in perfect quality before YouTube
Video editors can use an album to hand over a few cuts in perfect quality before anything goes near YouTube.
